Work Untangled
What Is Work Untangled?
Written and delivered by neurodivergent professionals from the worlds of business, education, recruitment and HR, Work Untangled is a brand new training programme designed to help neurodivergent people to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to succeed in the world of work. The course runs online for 2 hours every Tuesday and Thursday over 6 weeks, and will usually cost £250 per person.
For a limited time, we are offering places for our classes starting in May or July completely FREE of charge, and all that we ask of everyone taking part is their commitment to attending each session, completing some simple questions to help us measure progress, and feedback as the course progresses.
Who Is Work Untangled For?
Work untangled has been written for anyone who identifies as neurodivergent, but does not have a learning disability, who has struggled to get into or stay in work. Sound like you?
We are able to help with the challenges of autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia and dyspraxia. Another tick?
To enrol for our courses you must be aged 18 or over when the course starts, be unemployed or employed for less than 16 hours per week, and be looking to find work. You will need to commit to attending all 12 sessions of the course. Still here? Choose your cohort below!
What Will You Gain & Take Away From Doing Work Untangled?
Unlike typical ‘employability’ training, designed to give anyone seeking work the basics of how to apply for jobs and get through an interview, Work Untangled is written just for ND people and focusses on how our neurodiversity affects us in the workplace, how to ask for what we need in order to be our most effective, and how to ‘untangle’ the elements of work and workplaces that we might not yet understand.
Over 6 weeks we will cover the groundwork needed to get you into employment, self-awareness and society, relationships, confidence, and communication; independence, responsibility, learning and working styles, and preparing for the future (all the stuff that makes us safe in the world of work); neurodiversity and work, your neurodivergent brain (how to bring your ND to work every day); and then making applications—CVs and application forms, personal branding and communication for and at work.
By the end of the course, you will have a new view of the world of work, more confidence to apply for jobs and attend interviews, a new CV, and a clear plan for you next steps into the world of work.
